- Eye Care Providers (ECP) should be considered your first-line of defense on all eye related issues. This includes acute red or infected eyes. Dr. Obermark has more tools available to him than would a Primary Care Provider (PCP) in determining the cause or patholog(ies) involved leading to a more specific diagnosis and treatment plan. Your medical insurance is best billed for such evaluation.
